Environmentally-Friendly Alternatives
In the pursuit of a sustainable viticulture, Domaine Jacques Iltis & Fils uses alternatives methods to protect its vines and preserve biodiversity. Depending on the geologic nature of the soil, we choose to grass every other row or even total grassing to regulate the hydric system and control vine vigor. Additionally, we have incorporated the sowing of cover crops in our plots of vineyards. A careful blend of cereals, legumes and flowers which avoids chemical weeding and promote a harmonious symbiosis with the ecosystem.
